What makes a great set of lash extensions? Lash fibre styles that come in a variety of length, curl and diameter for endless options— giving the artist full custom control on the look of their lash artistry. Owner and GLTR founder Mel (Glitz Lash Studio) teams up with and GLTR photographer & lash artist, Jess (Jessica Sun Bradley, Vici Collective) for these dreamy lash looks.
Mel and Jess met Sept 2024, where Jess was a student enrolled in Mel's signature Perfecting Texture Styling class. In this season's Lash Lookbook, learn how Mel coached Jess how to create a perfectly tapered wet lash look with the NATURAL Collection, while Mel creates a soft textured set using the BOLD Collection.
While any set can appear fuller/more dramatic depending on the density used, the NATURAL and BOLD have different fibre designs and each can enhance the lash line or desired outcome in different ways.

GLTR creator Mel (GLITZ LASH STUDIO) used our iconic BOLD .03 to create a light to medium density subtle lash look. In this set, Mel used C curl in lengths 7 - 11mm, with a mix of fans and spikes throughout.
This fibre type has a slight sheen and more density throughout the length of the lash, with a smooth tapered tip— making it perfect for creating both dramatic looks and softer looks. In this lash set, our model Keverlyn had a fine, inconsistent lash line. The BOLD denser tip gives the illusion of a fuller lash line, even at low natural lash count. It’s an ideal choice when you want a dramatic look or need a lighter look on a low lash count or an uneven lash line. Shop the BOLD collection.

Jess (VICI COLLECTIVE) used NATURAL .07 3D spikes in a C curl, in lengths 7-13mm. Our model Danielle has a high natural lash count, so choosing the NATURAL collection was ideal for keeping this lash look airy and soft.
The NATURAL collection is a true matte finish, with imperfect fibre tips to create a natural finish. While the base of these lashes will still create density, the tips will be more airy to create a gradient look. This fibre is a great choice for anyone but it's also ideal for clients with a high lash count without creating a look that’s too dense or dramatic. Shop the NATURAL Collection.
